Refridgerator mysteries

Our fridge is probably as old as I am. That's middle-aged for a person, and very damn old for an appliance! The man and I have been discussing replacing it recently, its not too easy as the new one will have to fit into an oddly-sized corner of the kitchen. Anyway, it is 'normal' for it to make loud groaning noises, but now, since we have been planning to get rid of it, all of a sudden it is working much better than ever before. At one time I bought bags of ice to stick in there to keep things cold, stopped when we were going through the deep freeze this winter and didn't bother to start up again- but the fridge is now making the food much colder than ever before. I bit into a strawberry an hour ago and got the tooth-freeze pain. Very strange.

This month has been a bust for working out. My woman-time came and almost killed me from extreme blood-loss. You can't just hop back in the gym after that stops, one must wait a few days to get the volume of it up to normal in the body first. I'll go in and see how squats go tonight.

Just squats

Monday began as a total stressfest, so instead of my happily planned day off I dealt with various bullcrap and had to put off the gym until late in the afternoon. Usual warm-up, 6 minutes Arc Trainer, squats 1 x 10 x air, 1 x 8 x 45, 1 x 5 x 65, 1 x 5 x 95, 1 x 3 x 115, 1 x 3 x 125, 1 x 3 x 135, 3 x 3 x 140, the last one in each of the last two sets were wobbly, knees caving in a bit, some good-morning, 1 x 2 x 135 (my log here says, "WHAT?" "do over", 1 x 3 x 135, 2 x 5 x 115, nice and easy. Did yoga to stretch including a surprisingly easy backbend, this was the first time I can recall being relaxed in a backebnd position. I could have stayed there all day!

There was not enough food in the house but I didn't feel like going to the store, had a chicken thigh abd salad, 2 glasses of milk for dinner which is probably why I'm up at 11:30, stomach growling. Making coffee, mix in 2 scoops of protein shake and half and half. Grow muscles, grow!
